Keep animals free of blood and water. For big game, please do not make any cuts past the front legs. If possible, leave the hide attached to the cape and let us cut the hide away from the cape. For larger game ( caribou, moose, elk, etc) call us before you leave for your hunt. We can provide you with instruction on some basic caping and inform you as to which measurements to take from your trophy before and after caping.
If you are unable to drop off your animal immediately, please wrap it in plastic and store in the refrigerator or freezer until you are able to bring it here.
When tagging the ear, make as small a hole as possible. Bread bag ties or safety pins work great for attaching tags to ears.
All game requiring check-in must have game check card when delivered.
Notice of Completion of work will be sent out when mounts are complete. Any item not picked up within Thirty Days of completion of work notice will become the property of Lakeshore Taxidermy.
